Goals targeted:
- Vocabulary development ( foods, categories, kitchen items)
- Answering WH- questions (what, where, which)
- Categorization & sorting (fridge, freezer, pantry)
- Following directions (1-3 step instructions)
- Sentence expansion & syntax (using sentence strips and prompts)
- Auditory memory (recalling and carrying out instructions)
- social interaction and pretend play (taking tunrs, role playing in the kitchen)
This resource can be used in many ways and is designed to encourage open-ended tasks, however, there are some suggested activities on the next page. Print, laminate and file the task pages. Print, laminate and cut out the sentence strips and food pictures.
